36 Weeks!!

We are getting so so close to meeting our little boy! We cannot wait!! I am 36 weeks and a few days, I wanted to wait until I had my doctors appointment before I posted on here so I would have more to talk about :)
Last Monday Brian and I took a fun little trip to the labor and delivery triage. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid, but then I didn't want to be the weirdo that goes to the hospital when absolutely nothing is wrong, but I didn't want something to be wrong and not go in. Thank goodness nothing was wrong, my body is just getting ready for labor, but it was fun to be able to sit there and listen to our boys heartbeat, and watch him get really annoyed with the monitors being on my belly (apparently he doesn't think they were necessary).
Today we had our doctors appointment, it went really well. I am dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced, and baby boy is head down and super low. So we are making progress and baby is right where he needs to be, hopefully he doesn't decide to do some crazy acrobatics in there and flip. I don't think he has any room to do any of that sort of stuff. We go back next Tuesday and we will see if we have made any progress.

33 weeks!!

I cannot believe I am already 33 weeks. Holy cow! Brian and I are super excited for our little boy to be here! We only have 2 more 2 week visits and then it is every week, craziness! Baby Boy is doing great, he is growing healthy and strong and he is right on track!
We have slowly been collecting things the baby will need, we still need some stuff but at least we are making progress. We still have yet to figure out a name for him, poor baby might not have a name. We have a few that we really like but nothing official yet!

Exciting New Changes

So I have been waiting for awhile to announce some changes in the Patterson house, I just didn't know how to, but I decided I need to write them while they are still fresh on my mind so I don't forget anything important. We will start from the beginning...
Brian and I have known there was always the possibility of him getting deployed, we first found out he was up for deployment the September before we got married. Talk about a major bummer having him come over and tell me that, of course I cried my eyes out. They said his deployment date would be sometime the beginning of 2011 (I don't remember the exact month), then they postponed the date until May, then July. It just kept changing so we stopped thinking it would really happen. Then we found out that we were expecting, little baby was a big surprise!!!
We had a doctors appointment when I was 8 weeks, and they told us our due date April 6, 2012. I was about 9 weeks pregnant when Brian came home and told me the news. He would be getting deployed on April 7, 2012. He received his orders and it was set in stone. The day after our due date, seriously? It was some of the worst news we could have received, we were crushed, and I just cried trying to think of how I would raise our baby without my husband being there with me to experience everything the first year has to bring. We still felt blessed because both of our families live here so I would of had a lot of support and help, and we were very thankful to my parents for saying they would let me live with them while he was gone. Brian and I were still hopeful that something would change. We prayed and prayed, and left it up to the Lord. We trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and we knew he would provide for us, whether Brian went to Afghanistan or stayed home with me and the baby.
At our next doctors appointment we told our doctor about the deployment and she said we would need to be induced to make sure Brian would be there for the birth of the baby, I wasn't to worried about being induced I just wanted Brian to be there with me. So we figured March 30th would be baby day for us. It was exciting to know that we would have a baby on that day, so we could plan things and be prepared.
Even though we were hopeful things would change we had to get in the mind set that he was going to be gone, and I was going to raise this baby on my own ( for the first year). It was hard thinking that Brian would miss out on all the firsts with the baby. We had wanted to go on a big trip before the baby came, we talked about Hawaii, but then we kept thinking if he doesn't get deployed we want to buy a house, so we wont want to spend money on a big trip. We decided not to go on a big trip.
A few days after Christmas Brian got a call from a guy he works with, and he told us the best news. Brian was no longer getting deployed. He had been switched back to his previous unit with his brother and some of his good friends. We were so excited, we couldn't even stand ourselves! I have never felt so blessed in my life, I know the Lord has given us this great blessing, because he loves us and knows what we need and is aware of us. We were excited that Brian was going to be home with me and the baby, he was going to experience all of the first right along with me. We told our families and they were thrilled as well. We then had to start rethinking everything, and planning our little life together.
We immediately started looking for houses, we are really hoping we would be able to get into a house before the baby is born. We went to a few different houses, and started really thinking what we want for our own house. Our realtor told us she found a house that had just went on the market and the next day we were there looking at it. It is a beautiful house, it would be perfect for what we want, location and everything! We put in an offer and began the waiting game. We heard back from the seller the next day and she accepted our offer, but it is a short sale, so we then had to wait for the bank to approve our offer or let us know what they wanted. A few weeks went by, we heard from the bank they wanted a more money for the house, like a little bit, we quickly agreed and sent in another offer. Now we are just waiting to see if they approve, hopefully they do, it is what they wanted. There is still a chance that we could be in the house before the baby gets here, we will just keep praying and hoping everything goes well.
We are so excited to see what the next few weeks will bring us, a new baby, and hopefully a new house!
Those are the new exciting changes happening in our little life. We are so extremely blessed it is unbelievable. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it is to know that the Lord really does love us, and knows what we need, and is more then willing to help us if we are willing to do what is right and be worthy members of his church.

28 weeks!

Third Trimester here we are!!! I have been feeling great, huge, but great! I love feeling baby move! We had our appointment today, and everything is going great. The glucose test is not fun at all, I told the baby it was a good think i like him, or his momma would not be getting her blood drawn or be getting a vaccine. Sleeping is not fun, I usually am wide awake at 5:30 and am up for a couple hours then go back to bed for an hour or so. I am so blessed that I don't have to work, so I can sleep when I need to and be able to take it easy if I am not feeling very well.
I am still doing water aerobics and yoga, I was walking into the gym the other day and this lady stopped and said "oh you are at the 'get this baby out' stage". I laughed and said I still have 3 months, the look on her face was priceless. At church I hear, that baby is growing. Yes, yes he is growing, I think that is the nicest way to tell someone they are getting big! It really doesn't bother me, I just think it is funny.
Brian and I have lots of changes coming our way and we are so excited to be able to experience them together!

Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. It was very low key which was awesome. Brian spent almost the entire week leading up to Christmas asking to open his presents, and I kept saying no, then I gave up on Christmas Eve. At 11:30 we opened presents, close enough to Christmas morning. It was a bad idea to wait that long, we then were up until about 2 playing with our new toys :) Brian gave me an Ipad and I love it, pajamas, and a few other things. He got a PS3 and he is digging it, he also got pajamas and some other things. On Christmas day we went to Brian's sister Jenn's house, we always love hanging out with her and her family they are great! We then went to Brian's dad house and hung out with them. It was a great day!! We are so very blessed and we cannot wait for the New Year and see what it brings. We already know we will have an amazing gift coming to our family in April, we cannot wait to have him, and see what he looks like!

24 weeks!

I was 24 weeks on Friday. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy seems to be going! I am feeling great, some days I am totally uncomfortable and sweats are the only thing to wear :) A few weeks ago I started doing prenatal yoga, and prenatal water aerobics, I cant say I am a huge fan of yoga ( it makes me laugh almost the entire time I am there, I feel really silly) but I know it helps with labor and all that jazz so I will continue to do it and maybe I will learn how to like it! Baby boy really enjoys kicking and moving all the time! I love feeling him move, it is so amazing. Lately when he kicks I can see my stomach move, it is a little weird but really funny watching my belly dance.
I thought it would be really cool to wear the same shirt throughout the pregnancy for the weekly pictures..okay maybe monthly pictures for me, or maybe a little bit longer :) but I will not continue to wear this shirt in any pictures.. I look horrible.. but at least it shows how big baby is getting!
