Good Golly Miss Molly

I think it is about time to do a post about Miss Molly. She is in love with Blake and would really like to help change his diapers, give him baths, and lick him to death whenever he is crying. Too bad she isn't allowed to do any of those things.
I miss when Molly was this size, she was a little bit easier to control compared to the 60 some pounds of monster she is these days.
Looking outside to see your face like this used to be hysterical, now it looks like a ton of work. We went to my parents house yesterday and her face looked similar to this from when she was a puppy.
You were our first baby until our first real baby came along. Poor dog, you have been neglected. At least we still give you food and water, and a comfy place to sleep. One day you will be fun to have around again, one day.
Now we spend our days like this.
Just watching over Blake making sure he isn't going any where. We love you Molly, even if you drive us insane and ruin our brand new backyard. In our new house (I will post about it soon) you have decided to be a stink pot. We have/had a butterfly bush that I was really excited about having so we could watch some pretty butterflies, and the people that we bought the house from left an awesome grow box with the hoses to water it throughout, now we don't have much of a butterfly bush left, and you thought the hose tasted delicious. Oh Molly dog.

A little behind...

So much has happened since my last post. I will get caught up, some time. I will try to get some what caught up today between taking care of my sweet boy, and my lovely dog.

Funny Faces

Blake has some pretty funny expressions that he makes. I have caught a few and I am sure I will continue to catch more as he grows older. These were from when he was 3 weeks old.

Billie Bed

Poor Blake had a bad case of jaundice. His numbers were pretty high so it was billie bed time. It was so hard to leave him on/in the billie bed all day except to nurse him. I was one sad mama when I couldn't hold my baby, thankfully he didn't mind being in there.

Blake's Birth

At about 12:30 am on March 22, my water broke at 37 weeks 6 days, I was slightly in denial about it. Brian was working nights and I was just about to call him when he walked in. I told him that I thought my water broke, and then I proceeded to tell him it probably wasn't my water it had to be something else. He talked me into calling my doctors office and talk to the on call doctor. We waited for a call back and she told us to go in to the hospital, she sounded so sure that it was my water that broke. When I was on the phone Brian was packing our stuff to go, and I kept telling him they would tell me not to go in, boy was I wrong!!
When we got to the hospital I told Brian I was okay staying pregnant for a few more weeks, I was not ready to deliver our baby boy. I was because I wanted to be done being pregnant but then when it was really happening I was no longer ready! We went to triage got checked in. Then they moved us to labor and delivery where we would stay for a really long time! They checked me and I was a 2 and 50% effaced and baby's head was fully engaged and he was facing the right way (good boy!), I hadn't progressed since Tuesday at my appointment. Even though my water broke, I only had 2 contractions between 12:30-ish to about 2. They started pitocin at about 4:30 and that started the waiting game. By 8 the contractions were regular but not very strong, at 11:45 I got my epidural, which is awesome!!! I was hoping I would have my baby before my sister left so he had until 3 o'clock to get here, that didn't happen. They checked me again a little after 3 and I was a 5-6 100% effaced. We waited and waited and waited some more. At 6:30 they checked me again I was at a 10!!! At 6:45 I started pushing. I pushed for about 3 hours and my doctor tried using the vacuum to help little Blake out, it didn't work, I don't know how many times she tried. She finally told me that we had two more contractions before she would do an emergency c-section. I was not okay with that, I did not want to have a c-section. I just kept praying and praying that I wouldn't have to have a c-section. At 10:45 pm, my sweet sweet boy was born. It was such a relief to be able to see him and hold him.
Blake had to go to the NICU for about 2 hours, he wasn't able to control his breathing, and his blood sugar was high. He then was able to go to the nursery.
Poor Blake's head, he was a little stuck :(

36 Weeks!!

We are getting so so close to meeting our little boy! We cannot wait!! I am 36 weeks and a few days, I wanted to wait until I had my doctors appointment before I posted on here so I would have more to talk about :)
Last Monday Brian and I took a fun little trip to the labor and delivery triage. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid, but then I didn't want to be the weirdo that goes to the hospital when absolutely nothing is wrong, but I didn't want something to be wrong and not go in. Thank goodness nothing was wrong, my body is just getting ready for labor, but it was fun to be able to sit there and listen to our boys heartbeat, and watch him get really annoyed with the monitors being on my belly (apparently he doesn't think they were necessary).
Today we had our doctors appointment, it went really well. I am dilated to a 1 and 50% effaced, and baby boy is head down and super low. So we are making progress and baby is right where he needs to be, hopefully he doesn't decide to do some crazy acrobatics in there and flip. I don't think he has any room to do any of that sort of stuff. We go back next Tuesday and we will see if we have made any progress.
